Sub-Surface Printing
If you need harsh environment protection and outstanding visual appearance, sub-surface printing offers that versatility. Sub-surface or Second Surface printing refers to printing done below the surface (or on the back) of a substrate.
With the right choice of materials, sub-surface printing fully protects graphics from abrasion as well as protection against various oils, greases, and solvents. UV inhibitors can be added to the materials to increase product life in outdoor or high UV exposed applications.
Sub-surface printing is available on a variety of our materials and used for control panels, nameplates, overlays, under the hood automotive decals, industrial equipment, major appliances, OEM electrical boxes and safety/hazard signage. It is a popular process when manufacturing aerospace and military applications due to sub-surface durability.
