A global automotive electronics manufacturer reached out to Roemer Industries for assistance when their supplier failed to provide quality product identification and timely service. The engineers at Roemer utilized the new high-speed laser to provide precision stainless steel overlays to this manufacturer and we were able to use our RoemerRapid Priority service to deliver these in a few days to meet a critical trade show deadline.
The overlays were placed over LED screens inside the dashboard of Lamborghini Diablos, where they were displayed at a car show where automotive manufacturers from across the United States attended. The product features cut outs of each gauge precisely laser cut so that an LED light would be able to project through each recess. Roemer Industries proved to have the technology to provide the automotive experts with precise parts custom-designed for their equipment.
We were able to service the customer and received positive feedback about the quality of our laser cut overlays. The customer was ecstatic about their stainless steel overlays, and has already sent over additional work. These overlays are also being produced as a 3D image on brushed polycarbonate to be displayed in historic vehicle dashboards.
