Polycarbonate (LEXAN®) Overlays

Roemer’s Polycarbonate is a popular choice for overlays because of its excellent clarity, stability, heat resistance, impact strength, printing, and die cut characteristics. In addition, it offers good abrasion, stain and chemical resistance. Although LEXAN® is a registered trademark of General Electric Company it is manufactured by other companies. Polycarbonate overlays are screen printed on the second (sub-surface) surface to provide protection for the text and graphics. And, embossing can easily be integrated into the manufacturing of a Polycarbonate overlay. Polycarbonate is used in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes and is available in clear, matte, and velvet textured finishes.
